2027: Critics of Rainbow Coalition incapable of uniting their own families, says Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that politicians who deny the existence of the Rainbow Coalition lack the capacity to unite even their own families and communities. Wike made the remarks on Monday in Abuja during the commissioning of the Gwagwalada Civic Centre and an interactive session with stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Gwagwalada Area Council. “Some greedy and selfish politicians do not understand what we call unity. They have no capacity to hold their space, they have no capacity to even hold their families, and they have no capacity to hold their communities. So they can open their mouths and say there is no Rainbow Coalition,” Wike said.   Challenging critics of the alliance, Wike questioned why political leaders who previously held opposing views could not collaborate in pursuit of broader public interests. He described the political developments in Gwagwalada as a departure from confrontational politics, emphasizing that the FCT requires governance cooperation rather than unnecessary political friction. He commended local political leaders for setting aside partisan differences, stating that their alignment demonstrates that public interest supersedes personal political ambitions. “On the day of the election, it will not be a day for market or fishing. It is the day all of us have decided to come together and demonstrate our strength through our votes. Go to the polling units, districts and communities and mobilise the people to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he urged.   The post 2027: Critics of Rainbow Coalition incapable of uniting their own families, says Wike appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
