The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has introduced an online verification system to help individuals and institutions confirm the authenticity of gazettes and curb the circulation of fake documents. The system allows the public to check whether a gazette is genuine without having to visit the company's offices. Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Monday, October 19, 2026, GPCL Managing Director, Nana Kwasi Boatey, Esq., said the initiative forms part of efforts to address the problem of fake gazettes. He said the company had already taken steps to tackle the issue, but the new online system would make it easier for the public to distinguish genuine publications from fraudulent ones.
