Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has explained why she moved away from wearing pink, which had become her signature colour for many years. Speaking about the change in her style, Cuppy said personal growth had made her realise she did not have to be identified by one colour. She explained that pink represented power, vibrancy, self-expression and femininity, but stressed that those qualities were still part of her identity even though she now expressed them through other colours. The DJ also reflected on her journey in the male-dominated music industry, saying she initially embraced pink to represent her femininity and establish her identity as a young woman in the industry. However, after 17 years, she said she had grown beyond feeling the need to rely on one colour to express herself Watch video below: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post “I don't think I should be boxed into a colour” – DJ Cuppy explains why she stopped wearing pink appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
