The Ghana Police Service has forwarded the case docket involving Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, to the Attorney-General's Department for prosecution over allegations of stealing from a Singaporean businessman. The forwarding of the docket, with a covering letter dated October 28, 2026, marks a new development in a case that has been under police investigation since 2025, and in which the Attorney-General's Department had, as far back as March 16, 2026, advised that Mr Ashie Moore be prosecuted. Ashie Moore, on the other hand, has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, insisting that the allegations constitute a smear campaign against his political acumen.
