The Cars Timaya Bragged With In 2008 (Pictures)

Flashback to when Timaya bragged about driving Toyota Spider and Camry 2.2.
In 2007, after his debut album success "Dem Mama", Timaya released his second album, "Gift and Grace" in 2008 which mostly attacked his critics. On Track 7 of the album titled 'Chineke Mee', Timaya hit hard at his critics for spreading rumours about him.

Timaya accused them of jealousy. He then went ahead to mock them that he now drives Toyota Spider, a Camry 2.2 and a Volkswagen Touran.

He sang:

"My brother na true story oh
God don bless me oh
Timaya don make money oh
He is on top of open joy oh
I get Toyota Spider
Eh I dey drive the whole Rover
I dey drive Camry 2.2
I dey drive Touran oh God eh"

Well, at that time, these cars were seen as the exclusive ride of the happening boys in town. Only few people could boast of owning them.

Yesterday, I listened to the song again, I laughed because right now millions of people have either driven or own a Toyota Spider and Camry 2.2, while a Volkswagen Touran is now extinct. I'm sure Timaya will laugh too at that verse now.

Nothing really lasts forever.
