Tragedy in Zamfara as bandits attack residence, leaving 12 dead

12 members of the same family have lost their lives after bandits allegedly set ablaze the building where they had taken refuge in Zamfara State.     The incident occurred in Gidan Taba village, Dosara Birnin Kaya Ward in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.     The attackers also reportedly kidnapped an unspecified number of residents during the raid, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday night, November 7, 2026.     A resident of the area said the victims were members of the family of one Mallam Muhammadu Sani, who had gathered his family into a single room in an attempt to prevent them from being kidnapped during the attack.     It was gathered that the bandits discovered that the family had locked themselves inside the room and ordered them to open the door, but they refused.     According to a source, the attackers subsequently set the building ablaze, resulting in the death of all 12 family members.     Sources further said that apart from those killed, other residents were reportedly kidnapped during the raid, although the exact number of those abducted could not be ascertained as of press time.     Meanwhile, the 12 victims were buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday morning.       l The post Tragedy in Zamfara as bandits attack residence, leaving 12 dead appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
