Twenty-two officers of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) are expected to visit Ghana from November 10 to 18, 2026, for a humanitarian outreach mission targeting underprivileged children and vulnerable communities. The mission, organised by the African Law Enforcement Organization (ALEO) under the theme “To Serve and to Protect Beyond Borders,” will combine community support activities with engagements aimed at strengthening professional ties between law enforcement personnel in Ghana and the United States. ALEO is a non-profit organisation based in Jamaica, New York, comprising active and retired law enforcement and security professionals. It is led by its President, Detective Chibuzo C. Amadi. The organisation says the mission reflects its commitment to public service beyond policing and geographical boundaries, with a focus on supporting communities in need.
