“I refused to post the Cartier bracelet she gifted me on social media, and that was how our friendship ended” – Beauty entrepreneur Laura Ikeji recounts

Businesswoman Laura Ikeji has revealed how she lost a close friend after refusing to publicly acknowledge a Cartier bracelet she received as a birthday gift.   In a video shared online, Laura explained that the woman, who was initially her customer before they became friends, surprised her with the expensive bracelet on her birthday in March 2025.   According to Laura, she was excited about the gift and immediately told her friends about it. However, things took a different turn when the woman began asking when she would post the bracelet on social media.   “A few days later, she sent me a message. She said, ‘When are you posting it?’ I'm like, posting what?” Laura recalled.   She explained that although she would have happily flaunted such a gift in the past, she no longer felt the need to share every personal experience online.   “Before now, the Laura that I know would post that bracelet ten times and tag the person that gifted me ten times. Now, I'm very happy, but not as loud as I used to be,” she said.   Laura added that being in her late 30s and focusing on building her business had changed her attitude towards public displays of gifts and wealth.   She said the woman later questioned whether her refusal to post the bracelet meant she believed it was fake, despite having already sent her the receipt.   Laura explained that she even sent the woman a photograph of herself wearing the bracelet to show her appreciation, but the disagreement continued.   According to her, she eventually asked whether the woman wanted the gift returned.   “She said, ‘Do whatever you want.’ So automatically, I knew that she wanted her bracelet back,” Laura said.   She explained that she packaged the bracelet and sent her driver to return it.   “And that was how the friendship ended,” she concluded.     Watch video below:       View this post on Instagram            A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial)   The post “I refused to post the Cartier bracelet she gifted me on social media, and that was how our friendship ended” – Beauty entrepreneur Laura Ikeji recounts appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
