Everyone has their own way of making a favourite meal, and ONGA is celebrating just that! The seasoning brand from Promasidor Nigeria brought its ‘Cook Your Way With ONGA’ campaign to Lagos shoppers for three days of food discovery, interactive games, cooking challenges, and exciting rewards in celebration of World Food Day. The activation kicked off on Friday, October 16, at Jendol Ikorodu, Akasolori, moved to Ikeja City Mall on Saturday, and wrapped up on Sunday, October 18, at Jendol Ibeju-Lekki. Shoppers explored a variety of local dishes, tested their culinary skills, and participated in fun games at the ONGA booth. So, what is the idea behind the campaign? It is all about celebrating the way people cook, not just what they cook. Through its ‘Taste of Home’ platform, ONGA recognises that home means different things to different people. Sometimes it is the food shared with friends and family; sometimes it is the familiar taste or personal twist that makes a meal feel just right. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to cooking, and ONGA wants consumers to celebrate their own. The experience introduced shoppers to dishes from the different regions across Nigeria. They enjoyed regional favourites such as Native Rice of the South-South region, Suya & Masa of the North-West region, Abacha of the South-East region, Dan Wake of the North-East region, Ofada & Ayamase of the South-West region, Jollof rice of the North-Central region, and participated in the ‘Cook Your Way with Onga’ plate-building game, shared food stories and tested their cooking skills, with opportunities to win rewards along the way. ONGA’s improved Chicken and Beef seasoning cubes also sit at the heart of the campaign, with the brand encouraging consumers to bring great taste and aroma to the meals they love. Whether you follow a regional tradition or add your own special touch, the message is simple: Cook your way with ONGA. Speaking on the campaign, Omotayo Olaobaju, Category Manager, Culinary at Promasidor Nigeria, stated: "World Food Day Cook Your Way with Onga campaign was a fantastic platform to engage directly with our consumers online and offline. Onga believes that cooking is personal, and there is no standard recipe for great tasting meals. Our role as a culinary partner is to inspire cooking confidence in every home—ensuring that whichever recipe you choose, the improved Onga Beef or Chicken cube delivers guaranteed richness and taste. And the celebration continues online! ONGA’s digital challenge gives consumers a chance to win exciting prizes, including a kitchen makeover, an iPhone 18 Pro, a fridge and other rewards by sharing their unique ways of cooking their favourite meals on www.ongatasteofhome.com.
